Crawford County residents appointed by governor

Two Crawford County residents have been named to boards and commissions by Gov. Kim Reynolds.

Tonya Eller was named to the Real Estate Appraiser Examining Board. Appointees to that board are subject to Senate confirmation.

Debora Quandt was named to the State Banking Council. The council is not subject to Senate confirmation.

Hunger Fighters food distribution on July 16

The next Crawford County Hunger Fighters food distribution is planned for Tuesday, July 16, at the United Presbyterian Church, 205 North 24th Street in Denison. The drive-through pickup will be from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

New TEFAP forms for the upcoming year will need to be completed starting this month. Families in need of food assistance will verify their income level eligibility with this form which is completed once every year. Forms may be picked up in advance in the bench in front of the Presbyterian Church or filled out the day of the distribution.

Proxy consent forms used for picking up another person’s food will not need to be renewed unless there are changes. People are asked to abide by the policy of one allotment of food per household. 

Monetary donations made to Crawford County Hunger Fighters may be dropped off at V & H Tire, The Hoffman Agency, or Our Savior Lutheran Church.

JMC North reunion

The descendants of JMC North will meet for their annual reunion on July 28 at the Denison Pizza Ranch meeting room beginning at 11:30 a.m. Along with a good appetite, people are asked to bring recent family birth, marriage and death dates to help update family history records. Activities will include sharing pictures, stories from the past, current family news, and of course, a joke or two.
