Republican Women to view Gridshock movie August 27 at King Theater

The Crawford County Area Republican Women will take their regular monthly meeting on the road on Tuesday, August 27, to Ida Grove King Theater.  The free movie “Gridshock” will begin at 7 p.m.

Carpooling from Denison to Ida Grove is being offered. Cars will leave the parking lot just north of McDonald’s at 6 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling 712-269-2250.

“Gridshock” is a documentary exposing the hidden and disturbing reality behind sex trafficking in Iowa and the often-overlooked reality about why the industry thrives - because there is a demand for it. The film features survivors of sex trafficking, local and federal law enforcement, advocates, politicians, and a recovering sex addict. What you think you know about sex trafficking will be challenged.

Stacy Besch has been invited to lead the gathering of interested individuals in understanding this inhumane crime and how to spot it.

Crawford County Area Republican Women President Gwen Ecklund shared that interested area conservatives are invited to attend the event.

She stated, “Our meetings are for conservative men and students, as well as women. Guests are welcome from the area. Our goal is to share great programs and learning.”

Questions can be directed to Ecklund at 712-269-2250.
