The music students of Lynette Thies presented a recital on Wednesday, May 29, at the Soldier Lutheran Church.
In addition to piano performances, three guitarists and one violinist performed.
The theme for this year's recital was “Pop” tunes from Broadway, movies and television.
Students performing were Lauren Lambert, daughter of Dr. Derek and Brooke Lambert, of Denison; Morgan Jepsen, daughter of Devin and Kelsi Jepsen, of Schleswig; Joanna Gain, daughter of James and Tiffany Gain, of Mapleton; Sara Rosener and Jenna Rosener, daughters of John and Angie Rosener, of Mapleton; Clara Gorham, Dane Gorham, Vera Gorham and Nora Gorham, children of Chad Gorham and Dr. Carrie Grady, of Dunlap; Maelee Mohr, daughter of Jared and Sara Mohr, of Ute; Gavin Amunson, son of Greg and Theresa Amunson, of Ute; Micah Peitsch and Hannah Peitsch, children of Pastor Nathan and Megan Peitsch, of Ute; Benjamin Meseck, son of Josh and Amy Meseck, of Charter Oak; Isabel Jepsen, daughter of Daniel and Danyel Jepsen, of Charter Oak; Samantha Sorenson, daughter of Matt and Deanna Sorenson, of Soldier; Rose Dirksen, daughter of David and Mary Dirksen, of Moorhead; and Byron Splitter and Brady Splitter, sons of William and Lauren Splitter, of Whiting.
Each student received a gold cup trophy.
