Super blue moon

A “blue moon” isn’t really blue. The term is used to describe the third full moon in a season with four full moons. The full moon peaked this week on Wednesday night. This was also a “supermoon” because the full moon took place when the moon was in a closer part of its elliptical orbit around the Earth. This picture is from early Wednesday morning, about 15 hours before it became full.
