The WAVE celebrates new location

The WAVE, a day habilitation program of WESCO Industries, celebrated its new location with a ribbon cutting by the Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County on Thursday afternoon. WAVE members take day trips throughout surrounding communities, focusing on volunteering in business and nonprofit organizations. Longer out-of-town social events are also enjoyed by members. The WAVE offers a choice of different learning opportunities, both in-house and in the community. The new WAVE location, 1500 5th Avenue South in Denison, has a morning meeting/dining room, a kitchen where members help prepare the lunch that is served Tuesday through Friday, a staff office, an office for Program Coordinator Aubrey Sholty, an activity/game room, storage space, restrooms and a meeting room where case managers can meet with members of the WAVE.
