DMU board approves periodic payments for Phase 1 water system improvements

Pay estimates for two contractors doing work for the Denison Municipal Utilities (DMU) Phase 1 water distribution system improvements were approved Monday by the DMU Board.

A payment of $334,768.13 was approved for King Construction which is working on a booster station located at the base of the 18th Street water tower. Pay estimate No. 7, is for mobilization, yard piping, putting in the booster station foundation and installing the booster station building.

A payment of $50,270.20 was approved for Maguire Iron Inc. for its work on the new water tower near North 24th Street. The amount of pay estimate No. 10 for the Sioux Falls company was for field coating on the water tower’s steel tank.
