Kristin Leigh (Haase) Webb

Kristin Leigh (Haase) Webb
January 13, 1983 -  June 14, 2024

Kristin Leigh (Haase) Webb was born in Denison, IA on January 13, 1983 to Douglas & Deborah (Simpson) Haase. She was baptized and later confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. After a year-long courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Kristin passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

An avid nature & animal lover at heart, growing up Kristin could be found fishing with her dad and sister Emily, riding her first pony, Trigger, at Grandma Helen’s farm, and caring for the many farm animals and pets. She harbored an adventurous spirit and has always been a girl without fear or constraint.

Kristin received her education with Denison-Schleswig High School, graduating with the class of 2001, where she was active in FFA and 4-H for several years. She went on to attend Iowa State University where she majored in Apparel Merchandising, Design & Production, graduating with her B.S. degree in 2005, with aspirations to design country fashion clothing.

Miss Rodeo Iowa 2005 was a title Kristin was very proud to hold. This accolade allowed her to travel on rodeo tours all over the United States while representing the state of Iowa, ultimately leading her to Las Vegas where she placed in the Top 10 in the Miss Rodeo America pageant.

Having been sweethearts since high school, Kristin married Ryan Webb on December 26, 2008, in a private ceremony in their current home outside of Irwin, later celebrating the following summer with extended family and friends. Ryan and Kristin quickly filled their home and the surrounding acres with horses, dogs, fish, insects, lizards, barn kitties, and eventually their children.

Kristin was truly the heart of the home, and she poured herself into her family. She could always be found outside pulling up weeds, tending to her plants, flowers, and her garden. Her love for animals and nature never wavered, and she instilled in her children her same kind-hearted nature and love for all creatures. She had an appreciation for anything vintage or antique, and possessed an ability to see the value and beauty in things no matter their wear or age.

More recently Kristin had returned to school and worked for the IKM-M community as a paraeducator. She was known to lighten up the hallways with her warm smile and genuine nature. She cared for and cherished each of her students and enjoyed sharing her love for nature with them. Before her diagnosis, Kristin was working on a degree in elementary education, her newest passion and something she couldn’t wait to return to.

Kristin is survived by her loving husband Ryan Webb; children: Jackson (12), Kambry (10), and Jett (9) Webb; parents Douglas & Deborah Haase; sisters, Jessica (Ayax) Rangel and Emily (Jacob) Brede; parents-in-law, Jack & Terri Webb, Kitty Knott & Shane Boeck; siblings-in-law, Kara Webb (Ryan McDaniel), Jesy (Brittany) Webb, Cody Webb (Jessica Altman), and Cameron (Macy) Webb; grandmother-in-law, Barbara Moeller; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives and friends.
