A day on the fairways and greens for cattlemen

Tal Bettin, of Odebolt, reacts as his putt on the ninth green was on the mark Monday at the 35th Beef Masters Open. The 18-hole, four-man best-shot tournament was played at Majestic Hills Golf Course in Denison. The tournament is sponsored by the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association.

 
 

Carts and drivers leave the Majestic Hills clubhouse to find their designated starting tee in the Beef Masters Open. Morning and afternoon tournaments were played, with the morning limited to 20 teams and the afternoon limited to 40 teams. Prizes were awarded for the longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin. Flight prizes were also presented.
