Children work off some energy by playing in front of the stage at Hot Summer Nights in Uptown Denison on Friday. The next Hot Summer Nights will be July 11 and will feature The Boyer River Band on stage.

Steel Collins, age 3-1/2, of Deloit, digs into an ear of corn on a stick at Hot Summer Nights in Uptown Denison on Friday evening. Elotes were being sold, but Steel didn’t want the traditional coatings of mayonnaise, grated cheese and chili powder.
