Lettering and coloring design selected for new water tower

Pictured is the lettering design and color scheme selected by Denison Municipal Utilities (DMU) staff and approved by the DMU Board for the new water tower that will be constructed near the Senior League baseball field. The top of the 500,000-gallon tower will be painted in slate gray and the bottom will be painted in Purple Mountain’s Majesty, a color that will blend with the purple on the tower along North 18th Street. The actual color may be different than what is seen here because of the computer rendering. The base for the new water tower has already been completed. The company that was awarded the water tower contract, Maguire Iron, Inc., of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, fabricates components of water towers at its facility. Delivery of components for Denison’s water tower will start soon, and the tower erection crew will mobilize after that. Lake Area Sign Co. LLC, of Sulpher, Louisiana, did the drawing for Maguire Iron. The design pictured was selected from a number of options provided to DMU.
