The Hayes Township Schuetzen Verein is all about family and heritage, and of course, dancing, as Brett Gehlsen and his niece, Abby Gehlsen, take a turn around the dance floor at the Five Mile House. See more photos below.

A set of German beer steins were auctioned off at the Hayes Township Schuetzen Verein on Sunday at the Five Mile House. Reynold’s Clothing was the winning bidder and the steins will be added to other German heritage items at the store. Proceeds from the auction are going to complete the three-seasons-style addition on the Five Mile House.

The Peter Wendinger band from New Ulm, Minnesota, made its trek to perform for dancers.

The dance floor was lively.
